33. Like teabagger cashiers who complain about food stamps
A relative of mine has posted snarky remarks on FB about people who supposedly buy luxury food items with food stamps.

I've also noticed LTTE from cashiers complaining that the people on food stamps eat better than they do, and they recount stories of people buying cakes, expensive seafood, etc. with food stamps.

I'm guessing most of these are second-hand stories passed around as gospel truth from one cashier to another--and I can see how it might be annoying to stand on your feet for hours at a checkout stand to put food on the table, and see people getting "free" food.

but I always wonder, do these folks realize that a good chunk of their store's income comes from food stamps? And that without that income, the store would probably lay off a few workers?

Also, I believe in many states that food stamp recipients aren't necessarily on welfare; I think many are working poor.
