At least till the opponent can do nothing about it.

Faking a mistake,taking your time about correcting it. Heck, since you made a mistake, why not double check and then triple check. with your democratic colleagues. adding MORE time before announcing the mistake. waste more time writing a speech about your error.

In fact you WANT the mistake discovered. Just want the time.

If your opponent is 100% honest, no harm done. the results are honest in the end.

If your opponent isn't maybe he will just use pull out that one extra vote out his sleeve instead of two(that he actually needs to win). And you just faked him out.

I still think it was a mistake, but let's be real. Let's not simply assume everybody on both sides is 100% honest. Just mostly honest.
