The deity teabaggers pray to in their mega-churches or while blathering prostrate at home seems quite the impotent idol. To be sure, the teabagger god is a raging asshole; he is far more keen on damning homosexuals and abortion providers and whipping up calamities to punish America’s tolerance of each than with mercy, compassion, or amity among men.

But he’s undersized and ineffectual–more a barking bully than a real threat to his earthly antagonists. No matter how fervently teabaggers pray for every manner of affliction to befall champions of justice and equality, President Obama, LGBT activists and causes, liberals, progressives, and non-baggers in general, this feckless deity of theirs persistently fails to deliver ...
