194. Here
Rachel,

Thank you for covering the Shock Doctrine. It it time to fully expose how these policies, which have nothing to do with deficits, are about taking the country back to the Gilded Age. In their ideal world cheap labor will come back to the country, and perhaps even some good old fashioned slavery. Whether we call it slavery or not is besides the point. It could take the form of indentures, or just other forms. But the reality is that they want to destroy any remains of a middle class, and create a society of the haves and the have nots.

There has been a huge redistribution of wealth, and not precisely between the Unions and the middle class, but rather from the middle class to the extremely wealthy. It is time that higher tax marginal rates come back, as in 70% rates, and we rebuild a mixed economy. It is also time for Americans to realize that free trade is not free, and in fact it is part of this massive redistribution of wealth and the destruction of the middle class.

Sincerely,

XXXX
