I just found a new doctor and got some help from my family to pay for the appointment. The doctor gave me some sample pills until I could afford it. I also signed up for a prescription program at my pharmacy so that my meds only cost $10 instead of the $40 they would have cost.

If she can't get the funds to go to a different doc, could she try some sort of free clinic in the area? I remember going into one about five years ago when I was in a pinch back then. They took me in and I didn't have to pay anything, and I don't recall waiting except for the day I went in. That was in NY though.
