Who is responsible if the government shuts down - Democrats or Republicans?

I would say that the person that shuts it down is responsible.

There was a poll on MSNBC this morning that showed 38% would blame Repubs and 37% would blame the Democrats. This is what is wrong with the media in this country. They intentionally mislead the people.

If the government shuts down, it is because the Democrats made them do it. Sort of like, they burned our budget and we had to kill them...

However, in our form of government, there must be a compromise between the branches. One cannot threaten or bribe the other. It doesn't matter if they agree to a budget of only one cent. That is the compromise and must be accepted until something better, thru elections, can be achieved.

The Republicans are little different fromt the Islamic radicals that killed the UN workers this past week. The preacher (the Democrats) burned their Koran so they (the Repubs) had the right to kill the UN workers. There is a similarity, although the example may be extreme.

If both Parties agree to cuts of $32 billion dollars and that is all that can be agreed upon, then that is the compromise that must be accepted. If the Republicans refuse to accept that, they are responsible for shutting down the government. That is what the media needs to report - not some misleading "poll" that attempts to show some fake "balance".
