For Christ's sake, Bush's repetition is so f-ing ponderous...
Of the nearly 10 billion things to hate this monkey for, this is the one that's chapping me most today. No doubt the guy has about 17 stock phrases that he blurts out and occasionally re-arranges for the appearance of spontaneity but FOR FUCK'S SAKE, someone please change his batteries or slap him on the side of the head the next time he starts this one. Just after another of the almost daily tales of horror comes out of Iraq, this stammering, sub-literate prick shits this one out of his mouth: "You see," he starts as if about to drop some serious geo-political knowledge on the dipshits around him. "These evil-doers are trying to shake our will. They want to rattle us and make us turn tail and run." No lie, three times in the last week, including today, I've heard him start on this line of bullshit and had to scream at the TV, "But let me guess! We're not going to run?" And of course, this drooling half-wit always obliges. "But we're not gonna run. These thugs will never shake our will."
I know he repeats countless brain-dead phrases but this one has become too much. And what's almost worse, the media treats the 117 trillionth iteration of this ass-hat sentiment as news. EVERY SINGLE report about the poor murdered South Korean that I saw today, cut to Bush babbling this tired, tedious line of crap. How on God's green earth is this news?

I know, I know, so much to rage against but this is the one that drove me bat-shit crazy today. Sighhhhhhh........

1. LOL - his handlers have him trained
they can't let him go off script, and he can't remember more than about 20 words, so he's stuck in a rut. Like one of those old Chatty Cathy dolls that when it broke would keep saying the same thing over and over every time you pulled the string.

Of course, then all of the pundits latch onto these moronic phrases and we get to hear the same from them, ad nauseum. :puke:

4. NEWS ALERT: Bush says, "We're not going to run"
The best one is where he said "they want us to retreat from the world" - is this why there is the recent push towards a return to the moon??

7. And the wonder of it
is that every time he says it, HE sounds like he's just discovering it for the first time. The way he leans forward on the podium and uses that conspiratorial tone of voice. Is he truly stupid? Or could he possibly be a sociopath?

Thank God finally I'm not the only one so ripped about that. And then stupid Colin Powell gets up on national television only to echo that quintessential icon of idiocy: "...evil-doers..."

Is this complete moron really going to tell us yet once again that the next explosion/beheading/massacre will have been done because "these are terrorists" or "these are killers"?

Maybe mispronounce "Abu Ghraib" as "abugurnbxpkvwkejh309" again?

I'm so sick of this smirking stupid ass.

13. How did we elect the chimp? Simple...
We liked a guy who could smirk and crack jokes at a presidential debate. And because the media did a great job of making Gore look like a weenie.

It's still appalling that he got enough votes to make the election stealable, though.

Edited on Wed Jun-23-04 09:00 AM by nostamj
posted before but worth a repeat. from The Question W Revue:

To the tune of “SUPERCALIFRAGILISTICEXPIALIDOCIOUS”

CONVOLUTED SYNTAX AND A MANGLING OF THE GRAMMAR
EVERY TIME YOU HEAR HIM SPEAK
YOU WANT TO GRAB A HAMMER
BUT IF YOU DARE TO PROTEST
YOU'LL END UP IN THE SLAMMER
CONVOLUTED SYNTAX AND A MANGLING OF THE GRAMMAR

UM TERRA TERRA TERRA UM SMOKE ‘EM OUT
UM TERRA TERRA TERRA UM SMOKE ‘EM OUT

OUR GEORGIE IS NO ORATOR
AS YOU CAN PLAINLY SEE
AND READING OFF A MONITOR
HE DOES JUST AWFULLY
IT’S THE SAME SPEECH HE SPEECHED BEFORE
BUT STILL CAN’T GET IT RIGHT
I GET ANNOYED AT THIS DULL BORE
AND I CAN’T BE POLITE:

IT’S CONVOLUTED SYNTAX AND A MANGLING OF THE GRAMMAR
EVERY TIME YOU HEAR HIM SPEAK
YOU WANT TO GRAB A HAMMER
BUT IF YOU DARE TO PROTEST
YOU'LL END UP IN THE SLAMMER
CONVOLUTED SYNTAX AND A MANGLING OF THE GRAMMAR
(Whisper:)
CONVOLUTED SYNTAX AND A MANGLING OF THE GRAMMAR
(Full:)
CONVOLUTED SYNTAX AND A MANGLING OF THE GRAMMAR!

22. Bush's "You see..." annoys the piss out of me too.
It's as if he's condescendingly teaching us about world events or something.

"Don't you see? It's so obvious! If you could see it like I do, you wouldn't be asking such a dumb question!"

You are not alone, it's embarrassing for the country.

26. His resolve, our tarpit
Agreed -- this guy has got to be one of the most annoying people to have to listen to speak.

"Evil-doers trying to shake our will" is totally fucking MEANINGLESS as a comment on events. He has gotten us into a very pathetic mess -- we are as a massive, powerful mammoth stuck in a tarpit, being pecked to death by birds. We're stuck, and yet we are supposed to frame it as a heroic struggle which shows how brave we are as we are pecked to death....

I have an observation, however: anyone notice how its not just His Chimperial Highness who uses this phraseology? I hear "general" and intelligence officers and various officials all taking about "bad guys" and "evil doers" -- and it all sounds so fucking stupid. Is it just me, or do people generally hate being talked down to like a child that needs to be protected from unpleasant realities that the "grown-ups" are dealing with?

30. You nailed it, Chookie!!
I think that is the absolute best analogy to describe the current horror. We are like a mammoth stuck in a tarpit being pecked to death by birds. This doesn't EVEN qualify, anymore, as a quagmire. We passed that point a long while ago.

Such stupid, evil, disgusting examples of living organisms, trying to run things, I haven't seen in my entire life. Could someone come up with a metaphysical reason why such lowlifes have congregated on this planet at this time in history?? Couldn't we have just had to deal with one or two of them? Or is it just that shit attracts shit?

27. Duckspeak
This is an old article, but it illustrates your point well:

George W. Bush, the doubleplusgood doublespeaker!
In his interview on "Meet the Press," the president proved he has mastered the Orwellian art of duckspeak.

- - - - - - - - - - - -
By Christopher Ketcham

Feb. 10, 2004  |  George W. Bush's unplugged performance with Tim Russert on Sunday offered hope for even the dumbest of men: You too can become president of the United States.

Yet Bush's apparent inanity conceals his immense talent as a political speaker. If one applies the principles of duckspeak to Bush's performance, he is a doubleplusgood doublethinker. Duckspeak, of course, is the language celebrated in George Orwell's "1984."

<snip>
Tim Russert: On Friday, you announced a committee, commission, to look into intelligence failures regarding the Iraq War and our entire intelligence community. You have been reluctant to do that for some time. Why?

President Bush: Quack quack quack winning the war against the terrorists. Quack quack war against terrorists quack war quack hide in caves quack quack quack shadowy networks quack rogue nations. Quack good intelligence system. We need really good intelligence quack quack quack quack quack quack quack quack quack quack quack quack quack quack quack quack quack quack quack quack quack quack quack quack quack quack quack quack quack quack quack quack fighting this war on terror.

29. I posted in another thread a couple of days ago about this.
Saying "See?" And then he leans forward and talks like he's explaining the meaning of life to a 5 year old. I just want to scream when he does that. Are his supporters so simple-minded that they don't mind being treated like they have only one working brain cell?? (Never mind....I know the answer to that one.)
