Update on 1/27 March on Washington
When I first posted the info on the March on Washington there was lack of specifics, such as where and when. I'm not sure if I was the only DUer who was wondering about this, but I've been unitedforpeace.org weekly hoping to find them. For those of you who are interested, this tenative information on logistics was recently posted it:

LOGISTICAL INFORMATION

Many of the details of the January mobilization are still being worked out, so please keep checking the UFPJ website for updates. Here is the information so far:

*

We have applied for permits to assemble on the east end of the National Mall, the end closest to the Capitol, and for a march route that will allow us to literally march around the Capitol.
*Tentative times: assemble - 11am to 1pm; march step-off - 1pm; end of march - 4pm
*Lobby Day: On Monday, January 29th, we will meet with members of Congress and/or their aides; a training for the lobby day will be held on Sunday, Jan. 28th.

6. March 17-March on The Pentagon
I was going to post it latter.

The other issue is that its organized by ANSWER, which I know is not a popular group on DU, but still I was planning on posting as the date grew a little nearer.

12. People need to organize locally as well
and not just for one date. I was lucky enough to have contacts in the local Democratic party in my county and got hooked up with a peace organization. As people get more outraged this kind of thing grows. We had people come by watching us protest who were doing other efforts who joined us.

If you have church or party organization that are against the war you need to get in touch with them and organize in your area. Find a legal place to protest and do it consistently.
