So, the current "concern" of all these callers to the shows is that Illinois is |
bound to suffer because "mean old Harry" won't allow Burris to be seated in the Senate ...
I would ask these "concerned" people if they are so "concerned" about the people of Minnesota, and why aren't they flooding the airwaves with the call for Norm Coleman to drop his challenges, which will keep Al Franken from being seated ...

1. Coleman has every right to make the legal challenges he is making no matter what we think. |
If it were the other way around we would claim that Franken would have every right to make legal challenges. If Burris comes back with both of the signatures he needs, then he should be seated and it has nothing to do with "mean old Harry". Hopefully, soon, both of these cases will be settled.

2. but wasn't Coleman concerned about Franken tying up the court and costing the taxpayers |
so much money if he fought the election? (actually, "fighting" in this case meant making sure that the legitimate votes were counted, not surrendering ...)

3. Not matter what he said, it is still his right within the law to make legal challenges. |
Yes, it is hypocritical of him, but he still has the right to do it. Go through the process required by MN law and then Franken can be seated.
