Right Wing Radio
Way back when I was married (early 2000s), my ex-husband, who was formerly pretty apolitical, got into Limbaugh. He told me I "had to listed to Rush." I tuned it in one afternoon and was appalled at what I heard. There was a song mocking the homeless. It was the most mean, racist, sexist and offensive thing I had heard in a long time. I heard it a few more times and it nearly made me sick. How could this person have an audience? I asked my ex if he really agreed with this garbage and, unfortunately, he did. Then I found neighbors and family members who were also into it. WTF? Well, I accidentally came across "Hannity" the other day. I learned that the Wall Street protesters are a dirty, violent mob. His solution for people who are one paycheck away from being out on the street -get another job! Hey single mom making minimum wage, just work your ass off 80 hours a week and everything will be OK! I'm much more of an NPR, Amy Goodman, Stephanie Miller (wish I could still get that show!) person and I usually prefer listening to music, but I will occasionally tune in to the local conservative station to see what they are saying. It has only gotten worse. Bash Obama and democrats and minorities and progressives and "feminazis" and you have an audience. It really scares me that there are so many in this country who agree with this garbage.

1. You have a computer, you can listen to Steph, Thom Hartmann, Ed Schultz

etc.
http://www.stephaniemiller.com/

or you could listen to a radio station from afar. I usually listen to WCPT in chicago
http://chicagosprogressivetalk.com/ and then hit the 'listen live button.

If you have never heard Thom Hartmann, you will love him. He comes on at noon eastern. I usually listen to him on KPOJ in Portland:
http://www.620kpoj.com/main.html and then hit the "listen live" button.

ETA - let us know what happens.

He is on at 8PM central. I usually listen to him on KTNF in Minneapolis.

(you can get Steph, Ed, Thom and Randy here also.)
