Neither one has a lock.
Neither one is automatically entitled to the nomination.
What we had yesterday was, for all intents and purposes, a tie.

independents and moderate Republicans, whom we need if we are going to win the general election.
Meanwhile, although McCain doesn't do well among a large slice of the Republican base, he does much better than they do among the independents and Democrats than his primary rivals.
I liek both Hillary and Obama, but I prefer Edwards. Unfortunately, he isn't avalable anymore, so I think Obama will give us a better shot in the general election. On the other hand, a ticket with both Hillary and Obama (in any order) would probably be unbeatable.

22. Looking at those trends, it appears that when Obama |
|
tied Clinton last night he was already on a down-swing. He might actually have won a few days earlier. It seems as though some of his supporters had second thoughts the closer they actually got to the voting booth.

By atleast 10%, or rather, Hillary drops 5, and Obama gains 5. somewhere in that figure. Trust Gallup to come up with a reason to skew things in a way that would favor CoC interests.
