Can the Republicans accept responsibility for anything? |
|
Nine months into the Bush administration's turn at the helm, the Sept. 11 attacks were on Clinton's head.
When Bush was given the keys to the car, he was warned about Bin Laden. What did he do, he went on vacation, mentally and physically!
Two months into the Obama administrations presidency, Obama is responsible for the economic situation we are currently in. When Bush didn't even include the Iraq invasion into the national budget.
Can these guys accept any responsibility?

5. I first became aware of the Republicans when I was just a kid |
|
watching the McCarthy hearings on TV. They were pompous liars then, and have not improved at all, if anything they have become worse since Regan gave then some delusions of grandeur.
They are scum now as they were in the 1950's.
I could never understand why anyone would want to be a Republican.

16. He didn't get caught like Nixon. You really missed a circus with the |
|
Watergate hearings on TV, the Pentagon Papers and the WH tapes...
I am waiting to see what will be revealed of the Bush regime, and I am sure even we - who expect really terrible things - will be amazed at how bad thngs really were (are). At my age, I might never find out what really happened.

11. if there is one thing i have learned.... |
|
it's that although republicans preach personal responsibility, they generally do not take any themselves. No matter what happens, if they are involved in any way or should have prevented or stopped it.... it is someone else's fault. That's why I laugh whenever I hear them railing about personal responsibility. What a joke.

|
Today's republicans are worse than worthless. They are such a stain on America. I am personally insulted by everything they say, with new horrors emerging each and every day. I cannot for the life of me understand why anyone would be a republican.

23. It's worth a good laugh. Republicans wouldn't know fiscal or responsibility |
|
if it came up and bit them in the butt. especially if you put the two words together. They are like a kid who takes off with his daddy's credit cards and goes on a shopping spree, and then comes home and questions why his sister needs a new outfit. that stuff costs money. geesh. what a bunch of rubes. Tax and spend.... well the republicans were borrow and spend. they spent. but not on the american people. The state of this country's infrastructure. What about the schools that are falling apart. But halliburton got no bid contracts. Money disappeared in Iraq and no one seemed to care. It sure drives me nuts when I hear the words 'fiscal responsibility' from the mouths of the republicans that have been spending like drunken sailors for 8 years. but NOW they want restraint. Now that we NEED to spend money.
Obama should be saying... I don't WANT to spend this money. I don't want to have to take all this money and time to fix the economy. But unfortunately, that's the mess the previous administration left me. Their ideas created it, and now they seem to think those same ideas will get us out of it. No, I don't want to spend billions on stimulus. But we need to spend money on stimulus.... to help the families swept up in this through joblessness, through the depreciation in housing values. Some seem to think things are just fine. I bet they have jobs and aren't worried about their healthcare. Or if they will lose their jobs or their healthcare. Or their homes. It's easy to see why some people think things are going just fine as it is when they are not the ones just trying to keep their heads above water. But I know what it's like. I have been there in my life and haven't forgotten what it is like. The american dream can seem like such a far off place when you aren't even standing on firm ground. A lot of families aren't even feeling like they are standing on firm ground right now. They are the ones I am trying to help. Because they are the ones that won't make it through this without help. Sure, the talking heads on tv and the congress members and senate members who opposse my plans will get through this just fine. They aren't treading water. They don't need a helping hand. These efforts to save the economy will not help them directly. But that does not mean that these policies and efforts are not needed. Because they are. And I am going to do everything that I can to help these families to get through this tough time.

Doing what Jesus would do is considered evil by the lying hypocrites of the right. Some "christians" they are! They disgust me anew every single day.

19. When they speak, just listen-carefully. |
|
When Republican spokesmen rant about 'personal responsibility' watch them closely for this is when they will be most irresponsible. When they chant 'liberal media' this is the time to listen closely to carefully worded talking points designed to undermine the truth.
I don't know whether they are an ideology of fascism, nutty religion, greed, outright criminality, hypocrisy or all of the above.

20. Until we start holding their feet to the fire, NEVER. |
|
You want to know why Republicans do as they damn well please? They KNOW they can get away with it. We don't hold them accountable, EVER.
We sneeze sideways, they attack and harass us endlessly. We make the slightest mistake, they impeach us. We don't march in lockstep with them, they call us un-American terrorists.
They rape, pillage, plunder, rob, steal, murder, maim, torture, enslave children, kill children, rape children and we don't ever impeach or question them. We let them have whatever the fuck they want.
THAT is why they do it and why they get away with it.
No, they'll never accept responsibility, because we cower and let them have their way too much.
