1. Arizona had a ton.
Here's a synopsis:

Prop 100 - No bail for illegal immigrants charged with felonies. Because judges are apparently too stupid to realize that they are a flight risk. Passed.

Prop 101 - Property tax levy. Limits the level of property taxes to 2% above previous year. Right wing dumb arbitrary cap that will punish municipalities for being fiscally responsible. Passed.

Prop 102 - Standing in civil actions. More bashing of immigrants. Now they can't sue for damages so unscrupulous employers can mistreat them with impunity! Passed, natch.

Prop 103 - English as the official language. Because, I don't know about you, but I'm liable to forget and start babbling in Lithuanian. Passed.

Prop 104 - Raises the debt limit that cities and towns can incur to pay for police, fire, public safety, and transportation to 20%. This is a good one. Passed.

Prop 105 - State Trust Lands. Bogus attempt by the legislature to circumvent Prop 106. It would have set aside a paltry number of State Trust Land acres and require an onerous legislative process to exchange parcels of land for conservation. Failed, mercifully.

Prop 106 - Conserving Arizona's Future. Comprehensive initiative crafted by conservationists, educators, and business leaders to preserve several thousand acres of Trust Land while setting up a commission to regulate sales and planning to maximize revenues for the schools. Failed by a small margin. Too bad.

Prop 107 - Bigoted so-called Protect Marriage Amendment. Hateful gay-bashing intended to get fundies to the polls for gubernatorial wingnut candidate Len Munsil. Would have stripped benefits from all unmarried partners of gay or straight government employees, and would have threatened those in private companies with government contracts. Failed, barely. Thank gawd.

Prop 200 - Voter Reward Act. All voters would have been automatically entered into drawing for $1 million prize. I liked it but it failed.

Prop 201 - Smoke Free Arizona. Bans smoking in all businesses and public buildings. Passed.

Prop 202 - Minimum Wage. Raises minimum wage to $6.75 an hour. Passed and it's about time.

Prop 203 - First Things First for Arizona's Children. Raises cigarette taxes by 80 cents a pack for early childhood development programs. Kinda bogus regressive tax but lord knows Arizona doesn't spend enough on education. Passed.

Prop 204 - Humane Treatment of Farm Animals Act. Requires farmers to give pigs and calves sufficient room to turn around and stretch their legs in their pens. Passed.

Prop 205 - Your Right to Vote. Would have automatically mailed absentee ballot to every voter while mandating a minimal amount of polling places on election day. Similar to Oregon. Failed.

Prop 206 - Arizona Non-smoker Protection Committee. Competing smoking measure sponsored by cigarette companies and bar owners. Would have allowed smoking in bars with separate entrances and ventilation. Failed.

Prop 207 - Property Rights Protection Act. Bogus supposedly eminent domain protection. Brainchild of noted anti-environmentalist Howard Rich. Will do nothing to expand eminent domain protection for homes and small businesses but will subject the state and cities to billions of dollars in claims for "loss of value" due to zoning and land use laws. Sadly, it passed.

Prop 300 - Public Program Eligibility. The immigrants whom we demand to speak English are not allowed to take part in Adult Education programs if they are illegal. So you can't teach them English now. Of course it passed. :eyes:

Prop 301 - Probation for Methamphetamine Offenses. No probation for meth addicts. Treatment works but let's throw 'em in jail! Passed.

Prop 302- Legislator's Salaries. Raises them from $24K to $36K. I want more regular people to be able to run for these seats so I voted for it. Failed.

As you can see, we had a long ballot in AZ this year. It took the average vote about 45 min to an hour to fill it out.

2. Wow! And I thought California was the capital of ballot measures
perhaps all the Californians who moved to Arizona?

One nice ray of hope the minimum wage. Of course, now we will have an increase in the Federal one.

Thanks for the detailed list.
