|
A coworker who lives in the Hartford area is interested in listening to AAR and I don't know what station broadcasts it in that area. Can anyone help? Thanks

1190 which is the only one that comes in for me. There is also a station in New Haven 1300. That one does not come in but I am in South Eastern CT. Your friend might have better reception. Edit---there is a list of stations on the sight. Maybe one of the Boston station will come in. http://www.airamerica.com/stations

2. There is no AAR station in Hartford. |
|
Seems to me WPOP, 1410-AM, or perhaps WLAT, 1480-AM, would make ideal AAR affiliates, but it hasn't happened yet.
The only Connecticut AAR station is WAVZ, 1300-AM, out of New Haven, but it doesn't reach any farther north than Middletown.
If you have a decent AM receiver, you might be able to pick up AAR's New York flagship, WLIB (1190-AM). However, the network is about to sever ties with WLIB and adopt WWRL, 1600-AM, as its new homebase. And I don't think WWRL reaches Hartford.

I will tell him about the Framingham station
I live near New Haven and work in Wallingford. I can't get 1300 AM once I get past exit 64 on the Merritt

5. Isn't Air America on XM? |
|
Your friend could get an XM satellite radio and a subscription to XM, then he / she could listen to Air America anywhere in the country.
