What's the word on Bush helping Ed Case's campaign? |
|
Edited on Mon Jun-19-06 01:19 PM by oasis
Chimpy's fast tracking some legislation that was introduced by Case. This would supposedly help Case in his challenge of Dan Akaka's senate seat.
A reporter from Roll Call was saying on C-SPAN that the word is Case would be a senator more friendly to the GOP.
I'd like to know what folks are saying locally.

... about the legislation you mentioned but hell, Case might as well be Bush's little battle-buddy in the War on terror.
Case voted for the removal of Saddam and of the deployment of U.S. troops. Case continues to vote for increased spending for not only the War in Iraq but Afghanistand as well (... why are we there again?). Case is completely down with maintaining the beloved Patriot Act. And Case is all about letting military recruiters have full access to college campuses dispite the military's views on sexual disrimination. These are found all over the net.
Forget Ed Case.
We're in a Kerry vs. Bush situation ... Kerry was shoddy but he got my vote.
Akaka's also questionable but would you rather have Case?

2. Ed supported Lieberman in the 2004 Dem primary battle. I guess that |
|
says a lot about his leanings. That said, Ed is quite popular with his constitiuency.
Abercrombie was a Dean supporter. Neil was influenced by his wife's early interest in Dean's campaign and came onboard.
Abercrombie and other enthusiastic Dems brought Dean out to Honolulu to do a fundraiser for the Dem party in May of 2004.

3. This is not well known |
|
Right now this is flying under the radar. Perhaps the Akaka Campaign can put a lantern on this one.

11. The tee shirt would indicate Ed's admission that he "jumped the shark" |
|
when he decided to take on Dan Akaka. :-)
