coming to DC this weekend |
|
and staying until Wednesday. Hubby and I decided to go last minute and we are going to surprise my 87 year old grandfather by meeting up with my dad and him at the WWII memorial on tuesday. Anyway I have some questions and I know you all get this all the time but here it goes. I'm flying into BWI and taking amtrak to union station. Plan on staying in Rosslyn unless I can find someone willing to give me a big break on a room in the city. My question is, how much will a cab from union station to rosslyn cost me or should I metro it? I feel strange with luggage boarding the metro. Is this silly or should I cab it? Also, what is the latest I can stay in the city and still make the metro to Rosslyn? Any answers are much appreciated.

1. Metro runs until midnight during hte week |
|
and 2 am on weekends.
Take the metro, not the cab. Cab is expensive if it leaves city limits.

2. what day are you coming in? |
|
and how much luggage will you have?
I wouldn't take luggage on the 'tro during rush hour, but outside of that, no problem at all. on friday night, you can leave Union Station at 2am and get to Rosslyn. A cab will cost two people, not during Rush Hour, about 15 bucks, with bags.

should arrive at union station at around 2:30
I guess I'll just feel it out. If it seems better to take a cab I will. If not I'll just take the metro. Getting pretty excited. Haven't been to DC since halloween of 2001.
