1. I saw him speak live but didn't get the chance to get close.
How does he look up close and personal? Did you speak to him at all?

3. I was a marble mouth.
I am currently on such a tight budget I could not afford the $25 to get inside the roped off area. I ended up near stage left of the band shell standing with the bald secret service guy.
At the end of the speech I was the first one to shake his hand! Dean sort of jogged down from the stage, muttered to the secret service guy "so, can I start shaking some hands?"
All I could say was "thank you, thank you sincerely." I sense more now how important my efforts are to the fight. If Dean can come to this blindingly red state and give a pep talk then I can try to shake some trees myself.

2. It would have been nice to go
He want to Boise several times during his election campaign.

I would have liked to have seen him, but I'm 300 or 400 miles (depending on the time of year) too far north.

4. Seemed like the real deal to me.
I think his message was 'speak your mind.' This is a libertarian state of people who are more interested in individual freedoms than towing one or another party line. We elected Andrus didn't we? People need to hear what non repubs have to say. This war can't be going down well with anyone no matter who they voted for in November. Turn N Idaho purple!
