Daughter attends college in MO and can vote in MO (she did in 2004). Should she vote in MO for McCaskill or vote in IL for Aumen (and the gov etc.)? I'm in a quandry as to this and as with last time, she'll be asking me for my opinion.

1. If you live in Chicago |

she might as well vote in Missouri since there's slim chance of any Republican getting elected in Chicago.
You might ask her if she's concerned about how local government in her college town treats students and relates to the University. A little extra student turn out and noise can make a big difference in towns that aren't very accommodating to their student populations.

2. Obviously, I think she should vote in Illinois. |

No one has challenged That Stupid Manzullo in a long time. She should vote for his challenger. Dick needs all the votes he can get.
I had my picture taken with him last Thursday. I will post it if I can get my scanner working.

3. I think she should vote with her heart. |

I don't think it's a rational decision. I think people feel ties to a place or a person and vote accordingly. Frankly, since the chances of her actually changing the outcome is one in one gazillion, it's the only way.
