**** PLEASE CALL HARKIN & GRASSLEY ON HEALTH CARE *** |
|
I don't know if you have heard that there is a move afoot in the senate to have a "trigger" as an option. The option would allow our system to limp along as it is for another seven miserable years before anything happens. Then a public option would be triggered if certain criteria were met. I can guarantee that the the insurance companies will game the system so the trigger will never be met.
PLEASE I AM BEGGING YOU CALL HARKIN AND GRASSLEY AND TELL THEM NO (BLEEPING) TRIGGER
Harkin 202-224-3254 Grassley 202-224-3744 and don't forget Max Baucus 202-224-2651
Don't kick yourself in the ass 3 months from now saying "Gee I wish I would have called"

1. Called Senators Harkin and Grassley |
|
Grassley has me on hold as I am typing this. Grrrr! Got right through to Senator Harkin's office right away and the guy said he'd tell the Senator how I felt. Ok, I am not on hold now. Grassley's aide is taking my info and my address. She said she'd pass along my opposition and that Senator Grassley would contact me.

Grassley, Harkin, or both? I had a rather pleasant conversation with some kid, er, young man in Harkin's Davenport office about the stimulus. I suspect that Grassley's people put me on hold because they have been recieving a lot of calls about the health care issue. Maybe they wanted me to hang up. I don't know. I do know it irritated me.
