Looking to buy a travel trailer
My son lost his mobile home in the hurricane, and is now living with me. Oh joy. We are looking for a used travel trailer to buy and set up somewhere. If you have one for sale, or spot a used one where you are, please let me know. He's looking for one longer than 25'. As you know, travel trailers are in very short supply right now, so if you have any tips for me on where to find one, please post. Thanks!!

3. Thank you, blue donkey
Previous to the hurricane, he lived with his girlfriend in a mobile home that was in her name, altho he paid all the bills....she is eligible for the FEMA trailer, I think. She and my son have split, and he was told by FEMA that he probably doesn't qualify because his previous residence was in her name. We check the Advertiser and Times of Acadiana and Quik Quarter frequently...but, his funds are kinda low, so we are looking for a VERY used travel trailer. Before the hurricane, you could see these all of the time, sitting next to people's houses, with "for sale" signs....but, now, when you need an older travel trailer, you can't find one!! If you see one, thanks in advance for posting!

4. I'll keep my eyes open over here Ann
There is a place that sells travel trailers on St. Peter Street in New Iberia. I have to go to the doctor tomorrow, and I'll pass right by there, so I'll look and see if there is anything they have on the lot that might be promising. The Daily Iberian also has its classifieds online. Their website is www.iberianet.com. How is everything going? Talked to Tony lately?

5. Hi Finecraft!
Thanks for looking at that travel-trailer sales place, and for the link. I got a PM from Tony about one of his pictures, taken right after Rita, being published online at Bartcop! Good job, Tony!

6. I'm underground on the underground
hehe
I haven't had any luck locating any trailors. We can drive to Evengeline Downs and swipe one of the 100's they have there...

The picture taken in Orange Texas on bartcop.com was taken by me. He gave me some free time as a member for that.

Glad yall are doing ok!

7. Oooooh! I now kind-of-know someone famous!
Congratulations on the bartcop pic! Count me in to help if you and Ann "accidentally" end up "borrowing" one of the trailers you "find" in the Evangeline Downs parking lot. I haven't been bad in a while.

10. yes, but they are mostly from Wyoming and points even farther
from here. I guess when people up north hear about our needing travel trailers, they start advertising in all of the local classifieds....but, that is too far to be able to inspect the trailer before buying.
