So Donna Brazile and Mary Matalin are going to help rebuild Louisiana
along with Walter Isaacson. Read all about the Governor's new "Louisiana Recovery Authority:
http://gov.louisiana.gov/index.cfm?md=pagebuilder&tmp=home&navID=28&cpID=87&cfmID=0&catID=0

What a clusterf*%&. What did Blanco do.....ask Bush for his list of available "Qualified" candidates for government positions? What on earth has Matalin ever done that qualifies her to oversee the rebuilding of a state? Same applies to Donna Brazile. What a freaking joke.

1. All I can think of is she married an LSU grad
Carville once appeared on a cable gabfest in his purple-and-gold LSU sweats!

Do note that Norman Francis, head of Xavier University in N.O., is the chair. Xavier is the only historically black Catholic college in the country, and is located in the hard-hit Mid-City section (there were students trapped in the dorms!).

Alas, the City of New Orleans' "Bring New Orleans Back" commission isn't much better: major repuke donors, big-time developers, and Wynton Marsalis, who hasn't lived in the city for longer than I haven't.

It also appears that another appointee may work for one of my old contacts down there... developing...

2. Poor New Orleans.....Poor Louisiana
Retiring to Arkansas or even to Mississippi is looking better and better. I think LA is just going to be a "third world country" after they get thru "reconstructing" New Orleans and its surroundings.
