What about a group outing to "Capitalism: A Love Story"?

and they're planning to leaflet the movie.

Yes, I'd be up for such an outing. When is the premiere? If it's the first weekend in October, I can't do any night except Friday, and during the second week, I can't do Saturday night.

Release date is October 2nd, so that makes it weekend after next. I think my kid will be in South Dakota that weekend (he's been away a fucking lot this year :-( ) so I'll be free.

(= Uptown, Lagoon, Edina), but no further details.

I was actually one of the people who came up with the plans for a Sunday night outing and then Sue sent out the invite to all of her Facebook friends so we can have a theater filled with progressive activists from the area. Certainly everyone here on DU is welcome to attend, so I hope to see you all there.

14. I'll have to skip that viewing

I've been traveling (business, not fun) and lost a day because of flight delays. I have a Monday noon deadline for some work and I just don't see myself being out until 11 Sunday night. (Gawd - I'm getting old).

16. Just saw it at the AMC Rosedale

It was great! Good number of folks in there, pretty much all the seats were filled except those few rows up front where you have to look practically straight up.
Big applause at the end.
Now I will go to work on Monday and see if my employer has a Dead Peasant policy on me . . .

I would like to say every teabagging republican should be forced to see this but thought, nah . . .
I have enough experience with these people to know that they firmly believe that people in dire straits as shown in the movie deserve what happened to them in some way.
