1. What could the cop possibly have to sue over? |
|
The suspect damaged my bullets with his flesh and bones when I fired them at him?

4. After actually reading the article, I found out this: |
|
Sean Bell was bombed. As in drunk off his ass. He also was driving drunk, and he hit the cop in question with his car, Bell had poor eyesight yet he was driving without his contacts or glasses, in addition to being bombed.
The cop suing suffered severe leg injuries.
This was an obvious case of a total moron driving who shouldn't have been behind the wheel, and cops who panicked after one of their own got run over by that moron.

5. So, what are you saying? |

Gee, if someone runs into the back of my car, my response wouldn't be to murder them, regardless of whether they are drunk or not.
Anyone else would be in jail right now, but not so with a bad cop. They just walk free and say, "Oops"
Also, given the fact that cops are suppose to be trained to remain calm.

8. Maybe you can site the curriculum for cops lying on official police reports? |
|
Or coming up with stories that all witnesses on the scene disagree with.

9. I had a relative that was offered a position as a police officer |

and many of the questions just to become a police officer were psychological in nature and having to do with a person being able to remain calm.
In addition to that, I've read what I call propaganda from the police department that talks about officer's training and having the right temperament which is amazing because so many of them(not all) don't seem to have the right temperament at all.
Also, I would go father in saying that it often seems like the personality types that are attracted to the field are aggressive and easily angered.

6. Umm, so in your extensive research of the case did you see where the cops lied on their report? |
|

About a 4th armed person in the car? That person was not in the car and he did not have a gun. Otherwise if their report was true they would have called it in (cops dont let armed black men leave the scene of a shooting without calling in a manhunt). Now if Bell was drunk off his ass running in to people why would the cops need to lie in the report?
Did you also read how witness testimony contradicts the testimony of the cops involved?
What seems to be the case is these undercover cops in plain clothes run out of the club guns pointed at Bell. He assumed it was a car jacking and tried to flee, at which point he was shot at 50 different times.
