Fargo is becoming a halfway decent town for Leftie radio |

You have Ed Shultz and Alan Colmes. Do you know what we really need, more that AAR? A Pacfica station.

I just noticed that WDAY put Laura Ingraham in Alan Colmes' time slot and they moved Colmes to midnight. (I actually like Colmes' radio show, even though most people here seem to hate him).
We'll have to see what kind of host KFGO gets to replace Schultz in the morning, but right now they've got a pretty good balance between the left and the right with Schultz and Limbaugh. WDAY and KQWB 1660, on the other hand, are dominated by conservatives. WDAY has got Scott Hennen, Sean Hannity, and Laura Ingraham, and Colmes at midnight is the only liberal show. 1660 has got Glen Beck, Bill O'Reilly, Joe Soucheray, and Michael Savage, and they've got no liberal shows unless you want to count Doug Stephan. So to sum up, I count 8 conservative shows and 2 liberal shows.

He isn't really either liberal or conservative, and his show isn't really about politics. So I didn't count him. I think some of the stuff he does is hilarious. I also didn't count the FAN because the shows I've heard on that station that talk about non-sports issues are pretty non-partisan. Barriero, for example, rips on everybody.

is liberal, from what I've heard. Is this right? More importantly for this little arthimetic, how often is politics discussed on his show?
I thought Barriero was conservative after he ripped apart the French military win-loss record after the declined to support the war on Iraq on his web site.
P.S. When I said that Fargo's talk radio was becoming halfway decent, I was right, assuming decency means parity. That said, Fargo's talk could be seen as 1/4 awesome.

5. You could be right about "the Common Man" |

I haven't listened to him much, but he does sound like he might be a bit liberal. I've listened to Barreiro quite a bit on my 45-minute drive home from work, and he's quite independent. He'll rip liberals for a while and you might think he's a conservative, but then he'll rip conservatives just as much. His deal basically is to rip on people. He said he voted for John Kerry. He had problems with Kerry, but he couldn't vote for Bush because of all the mistakes with the war.
