The only residential qualification is that the person actually live in the state that he or she represents...residence in the district is not a requirement. This was the answer that was given to me by my U.S. congressman...

Charlie Wilson's 6th District seat that has lived in Franklin County for over 30 years. I doubt if he gets many votes anyway, I have known the guy all my life and was surprised to see his name on the ballot.

Wilson is loved in Eastern Ohio I know I worked in St Clairsville for awhile and he is well known and respected in those parts!
