So now Cons are trying a filibuster.
Conservative MPs are preventing the grieving widow of former Rights & Democracy president Rémy Beauregard from testifying at a Commons committee.

Suzanne Trépanier has requested permission to appear at the Foreign Affairs committee to defend her husband's record and provide her version of events that she believes contributed to Mr. Beauregard's fatal heart attack after an agency board meeting in January.

-snip-

But the committee must first agree to the witness list and Conservative Jim Abbott has begun a filibuster to prevent the issue from coming to a vote.

1. This is bound to go over well...NOT...
Denying the widow of former president Beauregard her right to speak to the Committee about the actions of government appointees to the Rights and Democracy agency, actions which have already been rebuked internationally, is bound to go over well with Canadians. :sarcasm: in case it's needed.

Geez, the decisions being made by this government in the last month are fascinating in their ineptitude.
