If you haven't given it a look, check out "Water for Elephants".
It's a great read.

Guy has to drop out of Cornell Vet School during the Depression, hops a train that turns out to be a circus train. And it unfolds from there, in present and past tense, neatly tied together with a storyteller's knack.

3. You're right. It is a very good book, well written, with
compelling characters, and, as you said, neatly tied together. Beautiful ending. The interview in the back of the book was great. I esp. loved the part about her interactions with the elephants.

4. Very good book
I love books that take me into worlds I know little or nothing about. I knew nothing about the traveling circuses in the Depression and this book tells that story very well. :thumbsup:

9. Read it
I read it  a couple months ago.It seemed kind of weird.But I
forgot the point of the book. It held my attention. But nobody
I knew would get interested in it.
