Just finished ALL CLEAR by Connie Willis. |

It is excellent. You absolutely must read BLACKOUT first, since the two are simply a thousand page novel published in two parts. The structure is somewhat complex, with cutting back and forth in time. As someone who has tried to write, I'm in absolute awe of someone who can do so complex a novel so well. Anyway, it was wonderful and it's well worth reading.
My only criticism of Willis is that I wish she could write more quickly, and so produce more for me to read, but I'm happy she takes the time to write so well.

1. Have you read any of her other |

books?
I highly recommend THE DOOMSDAY BOOK, a wonderful TT novel using the similar premise of Historical-study-via-time-travel as these books do.
I read BLACKOUT and thoroughly liked it; haven't gotten to ALL CLEAR yet.

2. I think I've read everything she has ever written. |

I've read both THE DOOMSDAY BOOK and TO SAY NOTHING OF THE DOG at least twice each. Just love them. Wasn't that crazy about PASSAGE because of the underlying premise, which I won't go into here for fear of being a plot-spoiler. All I can say is, what were near death experiences like before 1912?
But I love her writing, I love the way she gets inside the heads of her characters and lets us listen to their thoughts.
