6. me too
Avatar and Hurt Locker.
and wierdly Hurt Locker producer is Cameron's ex.

Saw Hurt last night. was totally unimpressed at the beginning but found value in it after all. A simple complex view about soldiers lives right in your face, daily routine and boredom and 24 hour stress up the eyeballs. It was quite effective in that way. for the empathy thing which is rarely done right in the movies

5. Jeff Bridges is a lock to win Best Actor
And I hope Christoph Waltz wins for Basterds. Would have been nice to see The Hangover get some love....hands down the funniest film of the year.

And Disney's Christmas Carol should have been nominated for animated feature...I've never even heard of The Secret of Kells...??:wtf:

9. just saw crazy heart and as usual
jeff bridges did his typical great job. he's one of those actors who don't get the praise they deserve but i think his time has come (finally). colin firth also was terrific in a single man....it's a difficult choice.
it would also be nice to see maggie gylinhall get some respect (she isn't the usual hollywood bimbo) but m'nique will probably win for precious (i didn't see it so i can't give my "educated" opinion.

7. Waltz was unbelievable in I.B.
Certainly one of the better performances I've seen in a long time.
