1. Yeah, the 'Chronicles of Riddick' had, in my mind, a bad case of Dune-itis.
The character which was the pre-eminent focus of 'Pitch Black' got short shrift in 'Chronicles' - nothing a good script doctor couldn't have fixed, but I was disappointed.

Hope the new one redeems the last one.

3. "Riddick" has always had a lot of potential to it.
They failed miserably with the last one. Let's hope they learn from that mistake.

5. add me to the list
I loved Chronicles. Yeah, it was fairly unrealistic cheesy scifi, but I love unrealistic cheesy scifi when it's done well.

6. I thought "Chronicles" was great.
Most people like Pitch Black better, but to this old school horror fan it was entirely predictable. Get a group of people and isolate them, then kill them off one by one. The formula is as old as dirt, and I've seen it a brazillion times. It was a good movie, but entirely predictable. Chronicles was a different beast, and I loved it, even with the cheese it had in parts. I hope they can find a story that takes it further without falling into the total cheese trap.

8. All RIGHT!!
LOVE the Riddick movies. Pitch Black was intensely terrifying and very original. Chronicles was just plain entertaining, kick-ass sci-fi.

More please!
