1. The UK media has been typically obtuse in its version of events.......

Hailing it as "Oh, look at good old Ricky getting under the Yank's skin. They'll never get OUR sense of humour."

It's like, "Shut up ya self-important lookie lews, you think you're the only country that has sarcastic humour in its laugh bag?"

I thought Gervais was funny as hell, even thought all he did was grab low-hanging fruit. But the pats on the back from his kinsmen are very unwarranted as is the UK media's pomp attitude towards the American public. Truly embarrassing. They seem to always try to be cooler than the US and it's just sad.
