5. The ol' Fickell finger of fate, mad.
Boy. Luke's in a very tough situation. If the Buck's have a tough year (lose three or four), I doubt TOSU faithful will have much patience with him. Especially with Urban not coaching this year.

26. yeah, I have to order the gameday package to get many of the games
There are at least three games that are on FX this year, and those will be national, but with the ABC games we usually don't get the regional broadcast here in Big 10 country. :( Even sports bars don't always help, because they don't want to sacrifice one of their TVs when the hometown team is playing. Alas.

Did you get a gig in Columbus? Congrats, if so--in this academic job market (if your field is anything like mine), that's an achievement. :hi:

29. I got a job near there...
I won't have cable, because I refuse to pay the bill for it, so I'm stuck trying to watch on the intertubes. We'll see how irritated I get. I may end up paying just for basic cable, though I'll be in Norman for at least one game, and in Virginia for another one or two.

For my field, the picture is somewhat less depressing than other history fields. Thankfully. Although with all this economic bs, I'm about the tell the government to ask some rich guy to pay off my loans- they get all the breaks anyway, right?

20. The Big (L)East ---none.
Hey Condem:

Are you going as crazy as I am for Nebraska this year? It is going to be amazing to see a new face in the B1G. The boys who make the schedule didn't do them any favors: Sparty, Whisky, Buckeye, Blew, Nittany, and Hawkeye in same year. Welcome to the B1G.

I still think they can win it all, which begs the question whether it would be a good or bad thing or them to win the B1G Championship in the first year?

21. I think with Wilson as the potential (yeah, right - potential) QB, Whisky takes it.
I'm not sold on Martinez against the Big Ten D's. But the Blackshirts will keep them close every game. Sparty looks good with Cousins. The wild card are the Buckeyes with Fickell coaching. No clue.

17. Arizona State
has a nice head start at #26(receiving votes). The talented defensive group are now Juniors and Seniors though Omar Bolden is injured. I'm looking forward to seeing Cameron Marshall and Osweiler on offense. Problem is this group of guys who have been together for the past 3 years can screw up a great thing. Not taking anything for granted.

19. I agree
Final year of his contract and this is his best chance to do it. Though Burfict, Marshall, and Osweiler are Juniors so if they all stay then next year would be the best chance to do it.

With this group, and the schedule, anything less would be a letdown.
