4. Really, Matthews has been outdoing himself lately

I always intensely disliked him, but he's really jumped into O'Reilly territory lately.

but I actually like Matthews.

Matthews is the type of guy who says what's on his mind, not what is "right down the middle" politically. So, every once in a while, he says something in favor of the right, and sometimes, in favor of the left.

But I agree that the bin Laden/Moore comments were not appropriate.
