1. Yep... he did that at the Solstice.
Here's a screen grab of his HamCam (the one that's mentioned) from 12/21/2010:

So far as I know, there's been no official statement. Art lives in the Philippines now, and I know it was always tough for him to do the show from there. The few times he's guest-hosted lately, there were always technical problems. But the message on his HamCam seems to indicate that his decision was based in something other than that. A lot of people are speculating that he'll do something else, but I dunno... I post at a board where Art sometimes posts, so if he posts anything about his plans, or if I hear anything at all, I'll be happy to let you know.

I miss Art...

2. Interesting
I guess that is why they have sought after a lot of guest hosts lately. I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't Jerome Corsi's support of Julian Assange that may have set Art over the edge. I can picture Art just absolutely vilifying JA. And then to have that a..h... Corsi actually support him probably sent him spinning.

I read the thread and do agree that GN isn't exactly a probing interviewer, and not enough of a skeptic. Ian does a better job with that. You just have to kind of factor that in to any evaluation. And, at least some of the listeners ask probing questions.

David Sereda was on last night. He is one of my faves. Mostly I was asleep, but I am going to listen to it later.
