Favorite Type of FPS

If you are an FPS player, what is your favorite type of FPS?

I've tried to list examples of the genre by each choice. The lists are not meant to be exhaustive, just to provide examples.

1. BF 1942 and BF Vietnam

They're fantastic games, followed by the original Unreal Tournament.

2. Oddly enough, I've never played the BF games

I downloaded the BF1942 demo when it first came out and I wasn't particularly impressed with all the vehicles. I've never been much of a fan of anything that is not shooting (like driving) creeping into my FPS. That said, I do like the implementation of the tanks and jeeps into CoD:UO. Maybe I'll give the series another try since you can pick up the whole BF1942 series for like $20.

3. I hope you enjoy them

The planes are a lot of fun, especially the B-29 bomber - although it takes a bit of practice.

I'd try out BF Vietnam too if you could, which is better than the original. The game has a cool soundtrack and excellent vehicles (F-4 phantom jets, MiG-21s, Huey gunships, Patton/T-72 tanks and more). The good thing in the Vietnam maps is that if vehicles aren't your thing you could still be a regular infantry grunt.

4. Probably war-based games...

like the Medal of Honor series and BF1942...I'm pretty good in MOHAA/SH/BT multiplayer, and not bad with the fighter planes in BF1942..I mainly play BF1942 as a pilot, because I like the flying thing, but realistic flight sims just aren't as much fun.

Second would be the sci-fi scenario games like Half-Life, HL2 and Far Cry.

FPS and real-time strategy are pretty much my 2 favourite game types.
