3. It's getting solid reviews, but...

It's not out for PC yet - I have to wait until early 2005 (so they say).

Gamespy gave the XBox version 4 1/2 stars in their review - short synopsis below.

Pros: Fantastic story; excellent voice acting; great combat system; better pacing than its predecessor; party interaction is more interesting thanks to the influence feature.

Cons: The load times can be excruciating; the framerate takes some major dips during battle; the character models are still bland; one of the game's areas seems rushed.

The link above goes to a more lengthy review.

Edit: spelling

4. Trying to finish the first one.....

Never got through it when I first bought it for my PC. I had just acquired a new Wingman Force 3D joystick and was more interested in playing some flight sims and flying in BF1942.

Now with KOTOR II coming out, maybe I'll have the motivation to carry me through.

5. Just started playing over the weekend
Got it for Xmas from my sweetie, but I didn't have a chance to play until the next weekend due to some excessive hours of work (okay, playing World of Warcraft). So far, the game is very similar to the original KOTOR, complete with lengthy (and sometimes annoying) dialog. I'm not sure if I like the updated interface, the old minimalist interface was just fine and easier on the eyes, the new interface adds minimal eye-candy and I don't like the green color.

Right now I am stuck in the asteroid mining base. I somehow am missing one of the holo-recordings that I need to record a voice-print from. :(
