Many of you have probably already seen this. If not, here it is: |
|
========= A new Zogby poll in Iowa shows Sen. Hillary Clinton leading the Democratic presidential race with 28%, followed by Sen. Barack Obama at 25% and John Edwards at 21%. There are still 12% of respondents who are undecided.
"However, the race tightens dramatically when second choices are factored into the mix – a critical wrinkle in the Iowa caucuses. In the caucuses, a first round of balloting is conducted, and those candidates who do not win at least 15% support are ruled 'unviable' and supporters are directed to a second choice among those who remained 'viable' before a second round of balloting is conducted."
When second choices are considered, Edwards takes a six percent jump putting all three front running candidates in a statistical tie. In particular, Edwards is the second choice of many supporters of Gov. Bill Richardson and Sen. Joe Biden. ========
It's from today's (11/07/07) www.politicalwire.com website.
The second paragraph is where it starts getting really good.

2. Good morning, waiting for hope. Thank you for the heads up on the Nichols |

piece. I haven't gotten to it yet and now it's something to look forward to.
One of the things that I love about the Edwards campaign is that it is drawing praise from very tough-minded customers like Nichols and Krugman and Mario Cuomo.
