Newsradio - DVD is out!

I'm watching the DVDs of NewsRadio.

The bad: They crammed 29 episodes onto 3 discs, so the video quality is about equal to a clean VHS.

The good: Commentaries! 20 of them. They all feature the creator of the show and one of the writers, and then have various permutations of actors. All the actors (except Phil, sadly, of course) are present.

The only combo I wanted but didn't get was Dave Foley and Maura Tierney. I guess the schedules didn't work or something.

Easter eggs have been mentioned, but I haven't really looked for them yet.

Gods, I had forgotten how funny and smart this show was. And how great the cast and writing were. Just fantastic. Can't wait for the later seasons, because I have got to have "Super Karate Monkey Death Car."

They have rocketed to the top of my wishlist.

I sold my blood this morning and used the proceeds. How's that for devotion to a TV show?

The commentaries are great. My only complaint: we didn't get a single commentary with Dave and Lisa!
