So, I finally got around to reading this trilogy. Very, very nicely done. Made me cry towards the end, which is the sign of a very good book.
Anybody else read this?

The changes in setting from the first book to the next were not something I expected, especially with the focus on the new characters. All in all, a pretty good series.

but felt that it deteriorated from there, as if Pullman ran out after steam after finishing the first book.
