Need help promoting my site.

I have registered with the search engings, but my field, anti bush posters is a crowded field.
How can I get a good listing on the search engines

I am promoting it here with the image below. That has pulled in a few hundred around the world.

1. Several tips.

Although, in this business, knowledge is everything, you'd find out this few with a little research, so i'll give you a start...

Links from other pages. This is key. You will never get high on Google without plenty of links from other websites.

A real domain name and hosting under that domain. Buy one for $8. It really makes a difference. Make the domain name relevant to what people would be searching for (as opposed to "wheat paste")

Your meta keywords are improperly formatted (don't use spaces after the commas) and description is lacking enthusiam and superlatives.

The home page. Great graphic. (it's too big for my 1024x768 resolution, which is besides the point) Too bad nobody can search with a sketchpad. People search with WORDS, and your homepage has NONE that Google (etc) can read. Google looks at the *words* and their frequency (and even formatting) on the home page.
