Web Design Frustration!! (I think I need hired help!)
I have a website for my one-person small business, started years ago using FrontPage. I have Expressions Web now, but it's become more confusing what with CSS and aspx and basically, I don't know what I'm doing. It looks dated, and it's grown to a size that doesn't upload easily (times out) and I'm told it needs "subsites." (It has a lot of articles, how-to's, shopping pages, etc. and I do want it to keep growing with monthly updates.)

I've seen sites where one can download templates, but I'm afraid I still won't know how to plug things into them, or apply the formatting to pages I already have, or make new pages based on these templates, etc.

I think I need to hire a designer and/or a hand-holder! How should I look for one, what should I expect to pay, and does anybody HERE need some work??

Should I try to do it myself? Is it less complicated than it seems? Is there a good book or tutorial program I should try?

I'm ready for a new webhosting service, too -- mine can't seem to work with the FrontPage Extensions now (worked for awhile, now it doesn't) but they don't yet "support" Expressions. (I thought Expressions didn't need extensions, anyway?)

Please help!

1. Who is your host?
Can we see your site to give you some suggestions?

I would be glad to help you, although I don't use Frontpage or Expresssions.

2. I'm at about the same level of skill and I like my webhosting service
I use Glob@t - http://www.globat.com

They work with FrontPage, they're cheap, they have helpful techies, and in the year and a half I've had them, I've only had minor server trouble with down time once.

My only complaint is that, once you have purchased a service, they try to upgrade you to death with things you really don't need for a basic site.
