I think its important that we give each other strength |
|
I was participating in a group meditation about a week ago. We were to send light and peace around the world. Most everyone was sending it to people in war torn countries, but I found myself sending this to other people on a spiritual path. I feel that it is important that we support one another with our thoughts and prayers at this time so that we will all be able to get through whatever happens in the coming days and months.
Peace. Love. Light.

I logged on, taking a break from writing a final on my personal theology of justice and peace studies at my seminary. I'm writing on the need to create a ministry for the people who work for peace and justice. It can be such soul-zapping work, very frustrating, dispiriting and overwhelming.
It's exactly as you say, we need to support each other as spiritual beings so that we can continue to work in the physical plane. Thank you for your prayers. They are both necessary and appreciated!

I think this just reinforces the interconnectedness of all beings. Thank you for your post.

I have been thinking a lot about the connections between the micro and the macro; the energies we see operating on a large, global scale can be seen on progressively smaller scales, until we get to just ourselves. Or, we can start with ourselves and follow that link out to the universe.
It has been my role in life to be the backbone, the stabilizing force for my family. Mostly alone, without assistance. I have done the same for my colleagues and my students, my friends and my community on a smaller scale, and my planet on a larger scale. I am used to having every one look to me for strength, for courage, for insights, etc.
And when I am struggling with something, the struggle usually happens inside, alone. Support from my spiritual sisters and brothers means more to me than I can say.
I am getting through some huge things right now. If others are experiencing the huge shifts, challenges, roadblocks, and bombardment of events that I am right now, we all need that kind of support. As we support each other, we shine a little brighter and send that out into the larger world.

ayeshahaqqiqa, please pray for me being very depressed. Just got away from my Religious Studies Circle's senior presentations at my alma mater. Just still trying not to cry because it's been a year since I gave my presentation and I don't know where I am going.
Love for all...

In my life, I've found that there have been many times when I felt depressed and "stuck". I found that the key was to wait and to trust that the reason nothing is happening now is that the timing isn't right. And I also found that when the time was right, everything fell into place, sometimes with astounding results.
