About 5 degrees. Not much warmer during the day. I refilled the feeders. No sooner did I walk in the house that a flicker was feeding at the shelled sunflower seeds. Nice to see a happy customer refueling.

It's about 28 degrees here in Seattle. It snowed lightly all afternoon and my feeders were full of birds, except for flickers. I have only seen them once, in fact, about a week ago. Astonishing! I want them back.
The Stellar's blue jay was around for a while this afternoon, along with the regular juncoes, chickadees, finches and hummingbirds. I'm afraid they are going to freeze their fuzz off in this cold weather.
But it's not as cold as where you are!
Stay warm and keep the birds happy.

We live just west of Denver. It was over 60 until last week and then the temps plunged.
I didn't see the songbirds at the feeders until this afternoon. They must have been doing some heavy roosting in the bushes! We had plenty of squirrels during the day and a raccoon feasting off the ground at night. It was nice to see the finches and juncoes today.
28 degrees in Seattle must be chilly to the bone. Having grown up in NYC, I know how the humid cold can be. Brrrrr....
