I did 45 minutes on the treadmill this morning. That's about 2 miles. I'm splitting it with my The Firm DVDs this evening. That will be mostly upper torso, arm and shoulder work.

1. Good thing I worked out this morning |
|
45 mins treadmill, 10% incline... about 10-15 mins strength training.. took it easy today as I woke up with a massive headache.
Have 45 min Tae Kwon Do class this evening, but I turned my ankle this morning, so I might have to skip a good part of it. Doggone it! I keep doing stupid stuff just before belt tests - I'm testing on Friday... geesh.

WATP Power Mile twice in succession, about 30 minutes
I also did weight lifting this morning, doing exercises for chest, shoulders, biceps and triceps (4 sets of each exercise, alternating high reps/low weight with lower reps/heavier weights). About 40 minutes.
I did stretching/flexibility exercises in between sets.

8. Walk Away The Pounds by Leslie Sansone. |
|
It's an in-home aerobic walking program. The Power Mile is a vigorous 15-minute mile. I also have programs that incorporate the use of weights doing one, two or three miles; a four-mile super challenge; interval training with a Walk & Jog; and interval training with walking/kickboxing. I try to do a minimum of two miles per day, seven days a week, alternating my use of the programs for variety. Tomorrow I'm either going to do a three- or four-mile walk OR go to the gym and do 45-60 minutes on the elliptical or treadmill.

4. 30 min. Cardio at 75%-85% and upper body. |
|
This working upper body one day and lower another day is very new to me. I don't know if it's enough. With my upper body weight exercises I did sets of 12, 10, 8, 6, 12.

5. supernova, this is great...thanks for the threads. |

I'll be posting starting tomorrow...my hip hop class. (my teenage daughter talked me into it, promising that there were "lots of old people there")...I'm a forty something among teens,(no "old" people except me in sight) and just trying to hold my own. It's great motivation for working out between classes, though. MKJ
