Tuesday, June 27: I worked out today. Did you?
I swam a mile this morning and I think I'm ready to step up to a longer distance if I can get to the pool a bit earlier.

1. Hey there early bird!
I'll workout this afternoon. I needed to sleep in again today. I think the humidity is messing w/ my sleep patterns.

I think it's an upper-body weight day, and I'll probably do some combination of StairMaster or stationary bike, and rowing machine.

(I want someone at the gym to show me the Nordick Track machine.... just for more variety.)

2. Hello!
We've been having so many thunderstorms that if I don't swim in the morning, after work will be right at prime storminess hour. (They close the pool if there is lightning/thunder.) But last night I admit I was hoping I would hear some thunder at 5:30 this morning so I could roll back over and sleep!

:hi:

3. I've been walking.
After work with co-workers (8 p.m. so it's cooler) and now in the morning with one of my dogs. It feels great!

6. An hour of Pilates today
I'm finally back - I'd been taking some time off due to my heavy work schedule.

8. I've been busy closing my store
It's been both physically and emotionally draining. But all in all this is a good change in my life, and ultimately I'll have more time to devote to my workouts after July 1. :D

9. No time today
I've got a neighborhood recovery meeting 30 minutes after work and then a social engagement immediatly following. I would say that I'll get up early tomorrow morning to go running, but i don't think that will happen. I'll either run again tomorrow afternoon or early Thursday morning.

We may be able to begin moving some things over to our house starting tomorrow afternoon if the floors are dry! This move will likely disrupt my running schedule for the next week or so but it's a lot of physical labor moving things around.

16. I made some time
lost power at work so I got to leave about 30 minutes early which made time for my run before my meeting.

I think i should probably stick to the every other day runs and do something else on the off days, b/c when i run two days in a row, the second day, I feel rather weak and the run is slower. I got a stitch in my side and ended up having to walk about 100yrds or so. Not the best workout, but it was something.

10. No...haven't been to the gym since Saturday.
I took a rest day Sunday. And I had to work late yesterday...and probably today.

I'm so cranky right now. I know one big reason is not going to the gym...as I should.

Does lack of working out affect your mood?

12. I dunno.
I swam this morning and I'm cranky as all get out. When I get cranky from NOT swimming it's often because I'm frustrated that I'm not claiming the ownership of my time to do what I want, but letting other people decide how I spend my time. I went to a civic meeting/Crime workshop Saturday from 8-3. It was not a bad event, but I am STILL seething with resentment over my loss of a free Saturday.
