I'm sure you've got some questions…I'll answer them.
Why should I get involved? There is growing evidence that the United States is systematically using torture and inhuman treatment in their War on Terror. During the past couple of years, organizations like Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch have gathered evidence showing that the United States has not treated its prisoners in accordance with the Geneva Convention. This mistreatment must stop, and we have to bring awareness to this problem to everyone we come in contact with.
How will my little blog spread the word?Once upon a time, I joined an alliance of three hundred bloggers called The Big Brass Alliance. We brought awareness of The Downing Street Memos to the mainstream media, the general public, and members of Congress by contacting select media outlets, senators and congresspersons on a daily basis until they took action. The alliance grew to over a thousand members, and once Rep. John Conyers (D-MI) became involved the rest is history.
A band of bloggers made history once. With your help, we can do it again.
How can I help? That's the easy part.
