Anyone ever hear of a PDS Tornado Watch?
Our local news just mentioned that we were in an official PDS Tornado Watch. It means "particularly dangerous situation". I have never heard this before and he said they rarely issue them. It seems odd to me here in Kansas where we usually take tornado watches seriously although with little fear since they are so common. I was just curious, in all my 52 years here with a particular interest in the weather I have never heard it before.

4. We had another one of those last night.
As the last time, my city was fine but there were numerous tornados on the ground yesterday.

Thanks.

5. We were under a PDS tornado watch today.
We had softball sized hail in the area, too. No damage where I live, though. They've reissued another tornado watch for us tongight through early morning, but it's just a regular tornado watch.
