Whether you want to call it strong dislike or some other more palatable term, I have come to grips with the realization that Hillary Clinton raises a visceral level of emotion in my heart when I see and hear her. The root of that negative emotion rests not in some pseudo-psychological examination of hatred for women or other Freudian psychobabble. The root of that negative emotion rests not in a misogyny that I'm sure many will reflexively attempt to attach to my person and post.

No. The root of that negative emotion rests in what Hillary Clinton stands for and how she has conducted the traditional divisive politics of yesteryear to scramble to the top of the heap. The root of that negative emotion rests in her political calculus NOT to stand upon principle time and time again, but to vote during her Senate career in a manner that was personally and politically safe. Her selfish political calculus has contributed in some small part to the thousands of US soldiers who have died as a result of a war that she herself voted to authorize. The root of that negative emotion rests in her stubborn refusal to admit that trusting President Bush was a mistake.

I'm comfortable with my visceral dislike of Hillary Clinton and all of the other DINO/Blue Dog faux Democrats who have proved over and over that we cannot trust them to stand up to corporate interests or Republican legislative efforts. Hillary Clinton, with her sorry voting record on Bush appointees and other transgressions against making this country a better union, does not deserve the benefit of the doubt. She deserves nothing less than the derision of Democrats who have kept their eyes open over the years and are truly informed about her Bush bootlicking voting record.

BTW - how did Hillary vote on the Feingold amendment to block retroactive immunity for the telecoms for SPYING ON AMERICAN CITIZENS (all of us)? Oh, that's right. She was too busy campaigning to show up to vote in a manner that many around here would support.

So, you tell me. Why should I be kind to a woman who has not demonstrated through vote or action that she can be trusted to "change" the political process and bring Americans together?

My hate is functional in light of the mounting evidence. I own it and have no problems with it. And, if you think me odd for this feeling, then I can find solace in the MILLIONS of other Americans who feel the same way.
