1. Day #5 for me, w8liftinglady
Hang in there. The sun gets brighter. All the stuff that you let slide gets taken care of bit by bit. I'm still cleaning up the wreckage of my last few drinking weeks, but it's getting done. I don't feel as overwhelmed and I can see a time in the future when I might... just might... feel like that competent professional woman and devoted mother and wife who once had it all together.

I'll be thinking about you today. Have a great day at work.

MBD

4. To w8lifting and MBD.
I'm sooo happy for both of you!!!

W8lifting, I'm sorry I missed your first two posts here.
I've been out with a pulled muscle in my back for four
days now- it doesn't allow me much time on the computer.

As AZDem said, there is so much power in one alcoholic
talking to another- it transcends anything
EXCEPT the Higher Power you come to know.

Together, they have the power to arrest this disease,
one day at a time.

Yes, there is so much comfort in knowing you're not alone,
There is nothing you've said or done that hasn't been done
by someone else here. We've seen and heard it all!

We are all in this together.
We share our sorrow, our hope and our joy.

Your recovery is part of our joy.

One Day at A Time- Keep it Simple ;-)

Hugs,

Kajsa.

5. "you're recovery is part of our joy"
so true that is, there is something so joyful seeing the light come back into a new comer's eyes. that light of hope and courage and gratitude

while I can't see the eyes on the internets, the light shines through none the less.....

to all of us, new, not so new and those of us who have hung around for years of 24 hours, we are all miracles, every one of us

:bounce:

8. WOOHOO!
I am so happy to hear that you have kept going!

:)

I know for myself that recovery may not always be easy, but it is ALWAYS worth the effort.

Stay strong and in contact.
