and for the life of me do not understand why a new host was allowed to take it over and shut all of you (and me as well) out of it.

It feels so very lousy.

This user has spread her negativity and drama to many forums at DU3, including the Feminists Group. The former hosts of this group (redqueen, laconicsax, etc.) seemed to have no interest in reigning her in, but when Neoma became the new lead host through procedures that were clearly outlined at DU3 before the hosts were selected, she decided to put a stop to that nonsense.

Did you notice what happened next?

Now there is little drama in this group and there is actually interesting and cordial conversation going on. People are actually discussing feminism there (shocking!) instead of feeding one user's endless crusade of paranoia and division.

You're not the user that is banned, therefore, you can take part in the conversation if you choose. If you or anyone else choose not to do so, well, that is on you and it is not because you were "shut out" by someone else.
